MYPs Get Smooth In Bradford West
To promote healthy eating among young people, MYPs from Bradford West are running smoothie stalls at community events in Bradford West over the next couple of weeks.
The MYPs secured £300 from Bradford West Area Committee to pay for the fruit and equipment.
They will be at the Upper Heaton Working Together Community Fun Day at St Michaels Church on Haworth Road on Saturday 3rd of July and Allerton Fun Day on Saturday 12th July. Both 12 – 4pm.
The MYPs will also be officially unveiling the improvements to Haworth Road Park that they secured £3000 funding for earlier this year.
MYP Ruckaiya Karim said, “It’s a fun opportunity to promote the ‘Be Healthy’ aspect of Every Child Matters”.
MYP Jonathan Crouch said, “It’s great that community groups are including young people in these kinds of events, it helps to bring everyone together as a community”.
