Young Citizen's Awards

Bradford South MYP Piers Telemacque and former MYPs Amanda Garoes-Hill and Katie Rawnsley were rewarded for their hard work as part of the Bradford Campaign Against Child Poverty with two awards at the Bradford Young Citizen's Awards.

They received the both the Group Award and the Outstanding Achievment Award at the ceremony at St Georges Hall. Councillor Colin Gill who presented the award said "This group has done more this year for Bradford locally, regionally, nationally and now internationally than any other."

You can read more about the Young Citizen's Awards from the Telegraph and Argus here.

Earlier this month at the International Save the Children Awards Ceremony in London, they received the Highly Commended award for their involvement in the Bradford Campaign Against Child Poverty in the UK group. This was an international award and was presented by HRH Princess Anne. After the ceremony, Princess Anne met with them and commended them again for their hard work.

Well done to them all!
